BLACK AND WHITE FOR THIS FALL-WINTER

Make sure you have some black and white pieces in your wardrobe for this fall-winter season: geometric, with optical prints, menswear inspired, oversized and sleek. There’s nothing fusty about this combo - black and white is the most classic one.

I’ve tackled menswear-inspired blazer with classic short and wore feminine boots. And I really like my new cap from Nasty Gal - works well with different styles, go casual with jeans and Tee or classy with “lady like” look. We see more hats coming down from the runway from Kenneth Cole and Stuart Vevers collections. Do you already have one for this fall?

Boots - Michael Kors

HOW TO STYLE OVERSIZED SWEATERS

What can be better than cover up into fuzzy, cozy and pink cardigan this fall? This one by UNIF is extremely comfortable and easy to wear!

There are plenty of oversized sweaters at style blogs this time of the year, with few key pieces you can turn slouchy sweater into trendy outfit!

Casual: I went with casual comfortable layers as one tone skinnies and basic white Tee. With heels on, the look is polished enough to work.

Sporty: This is the simplest look to pull together - colorful sweater, basic dark pants or fitted sweats and favorite sneakers. Accessorize with a hat, chain necklace and watch.

Girly: Try on a midi or maxi skirt, unexpected contrast of light fabric (smth as chiffon, silk or tulle) and heavy knit is a “go for” look. Lace will also look feminine.

Im wearing:

CardiganUNIF, similar at revolve and nasty gal.

Shoes - Lamis Pump

Jeans and Top - Zara

Bracelet - similar at Nordstrom, Missguided, Bloomingdales or Guess Marciano

Do you know any cool ways to wear oversized sweaters?

When you got a new hair color and did some online shopping - time to go for a walk! Today Im in a good mood - girly waves and flirty skirt. This type of skirts looks good with long loose sweaters or tees. I picked flowy blouse with see through raffled back. Shoes by Nasty Gal - very high and very comfortable! Big statement bracelet is one and only accessory here.

Thank you to Michael Moore for pictures.

Haute Hippie

I go for hippie but polished style this time, inspired by “Caravansy” theme, but this is another story. (which is coming up next week;)

I’m wearing simple long sleeve back woolen dress from Armani as a base,  flourish kimono-tunic over it. Put a hat/headband  on to give it a bohemian touch. Studded heels from Bebe brings something “native american” to this look.

Last week I met with Asya, local fashion blogger and very positive, curious person to talk about my startup Models In Tech, fashion, technology and anything in between.

She wrote a great article and this is how she described my look:

“Olya was dresses in a white see-through lose bohemian tunic layered over a short colorful graphic T and light-wash skinny ripped jeans. She had a baby blue perforated Zara bag, Chanel stud earrings, clear vinyl colorfully beaded bracelet, and nude strappy Gladiator-type high heels. Olya looked effortless, effervescent and ethereal.”

Summer in San Francisco

All locals know that summer in SF is probably the coldest time of the year, so if you are traveling to the city by the bay - don’t forget a sweater, boots and jacket. It will safe your life:)

Today was pretty nice sunny day, so no need in jacket. I put a sweater over the dress, paired with boots and decorated with statement necklace. The dress shape and interesting structure give some complexity to my casual and pretty simple look. Knee length stockings fits into black/grey theme; riding boots is a “must have” in San Francisco - winter or summer.

A Midsummer’s Night of Fashion

Last week I got invited for A Midsummer’s Night of Fashion hosted by Jill Siefert. She launched her iTunes Podcas - “On Style” where Jill interview interesting people, talk about fashion, design, style and everything in between.

This meet up brought some really good quality networking. I really enjoyed learning about Artful Gentleman, chatting with bloggers - girlinafashionworld.com and prifixe.blogspot.com as much as other guests.

I met Carrie Parks from Louisiana, she has  a line of luxury apparent inspired by the sport of playing polo - Stick & Ball.

Sasha’s vintage jewelry set up couldn’t be ignored - really interesting and unique pieces were displayed and sold a the event. Check her collection at sashamaksvintage.com.

If you are interested in rapidly glowing market of Fashion and Technology, come network and make new valuable connections at FashTech in San Francisco on July 30. RSVP now!

Thank you Jill, see you soon!
